Fabulous First Day!

We had a fantastic first day of school!  I hope that your kids enjoyed their first day of 3rd grade as much as I did.  I think we are going to have a terrific and exciting year!

I asked the kids to bring in a photo to describe their summer vacation.  I wanted to display it on the bulletin board outside of our classroom for the first couple of weeks of school.  If you can send a picture with them by Friday, I would greatly appreciate it!

For those of you that are interested in following my blog, there is a subscription button on the right hand side where you can submit your email.  Whenever I have a new post, it will send you an email so that you do not have to check this on a daily basis.  I will try my best to post weekly what we are learning in class or what we will be doing this week.  Mrs. Skaggs' and I talked about having guest bloggers to also tell you what we're learning in the world of 3rd grade!

Welcome to 3rd Grade!

I can't believe that summer is over and school is starting. How did it possibly go by so fast? I am so excited for the new school year.  I hope everyone had a relaxing and exciting summer.  We've traveled to London before the Olympics started, visited the Eiffel Tower, and watched the sunset in the French Riviera.  I was starstruck by Sophia Vegara (Gloria on Modern Family) in Aspen and hiked the Rocky Mountains.  I am so excited to hear about all the kids' adventures this summer!

I hope that this blog will be able to help you as parents to know what we are doing this year during class. Mrs. Skaggs and I are super excited about blogging this year to keep all the parents in the loop!  We will have a fabulous year!
